On Campus Involvement
This section highlights my active engagement in both university and campus organizations that align with my passion for fostering community, celebrating diversity, and empowering others. From the gravitating energy of campus events to the vibrant tapestry of leadership opportunities, my journey at the University of West Georgia has been one of connection and impact. Whether founding the UWG Pickleball Club, serving as a Blue Coat Presidential Ambassador, or representing the university at high-level events, I’ve worked to inspire connections, uplift others, and create lasting change across campus.
Blue Coats
As a Presidential Ambassador, I contribute to the Division of University Advancement by serving as a host at key events, building relationships with alumni, donors, and friends of the university.
In this role, I help represent UWG at advancement events and meetings, ensuring our guests feel welcomed and valued. I assist in hosting campus visits, support various special events, and carry out tasks that help showcase the university’s impact.
The program also provides an incredible opportunity for mentorship from University Advancement leadership, allowing me to grow my professional network, develop leadership skills, and gain deeper insights into the importance of stewardship and community.
Pickleball Club
Founding the UWG Pickleball Club has been a rewarding adventure! In just two months, we grew to over 75 members, creating a fun, welcoming space for students to connect through sports and fitness.
One of the exciting highlights has been partnering with the City of Carrollton, who are building new pickleball courts set to open in the spring. Through this collaboration, we’ve gained access to reserve the courts, providing our club with a dedicated space to grow and also offering more recreational opportunities to the local community.
It’s been incredible to see the club thrive, combining teamwork, fitness, and fun each week while building connections on and off campus.
American Marketing Association
As President of the AMA/Marketing Club, I lead our organization in creating opportunities for students to grow both personally and professionally. I oversee meetings, coordinate engaging events, and connect members with industry professionals through workshops, guest speakers, and networking experiences.
My focus is on building a collaborative environment where students can sharpen their marketing skills, expand their networks, and gain confidence in their career paths.
One highlight was touring Coca-Cola’s headquarters, where members gained valuable insights into global business strategy and brand leadership. Each event provides our members with the chance to learn something new, stay inspired, and connect with peers who share a passion for marketing.
